artist statement
Nature is my greatest source of inspiration — from the subtle blending of colors in a sunset to the abstract patterns found in water, stone, and sky. Through the art of glass fusing, I translate these impressions into wearable and decorative pieces that capture both realism and abstraction.
Each design begins as individual pieces of colorful glass, carefully cut, ground, and layered by hand. The glass is kiln-fired at nearly 1,500 degrees, where heat transforms separate elements into a unified composition. Often, a second firing shapes the piece into its final form. I am continually fascinated by the way light interacts with glass, illuminating depth, movement, and color in unexpected ways.
Every piece I create is a one-of-a-kind work of art — a reflection of nature’s beauty interpreted through fire and light.
